Reporting to and collaborating with the Manager Accounting and Financial Reporting, the Senior Tax Analyst provides specialized support for tax compliance, reporting, analysis, and research needs. The successful candidate for this position will have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (remote and onsite as needed).

Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field and 3 or more years of professional experience in a field related to taxation, finance, or accounting requiredKnowledge of general taxation concepts, practices & proceduresWorking knowledge of general accounting principles and financial managementMinimum of two years of tax experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit organizationAbility to work successfully on multiple challenging projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting with non-negotiable deadlinesDemonstrated customer service experience in an accounting, finance, economics, or related business fieldAbility to work with technology platforms/systems (i.e. financial and administrative)Possess collaborative and collegial working style that can build interpersonal relationships and achieve in a consensus-driven environmentUnderstanding of and proficiency in navigating computerized financial systemsAbility to interpret and work with financial data, perform advanced calculations and statistical analyses, and draw conclusionsAbility to read and understand financial information, written financial policies and regulations, and other relevant documentation, particularly with taxationExcellent mathematical, organizational, and analytical skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately, both verbal and writtenDiscretion, tact, and sound integrity for working with highly sensitive and confidential informationAbility to set concrete goals, develop aligned strategies, and make data-informed decisionsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Desire to work in a collaborative environment with System and institutional leaders, as well as colleagues in other financial services departmentsOpenness to 360-degree feedback and desire to learn and grow continuously |
