This is a temporary, full-time position (40 hours per week), and is expected to last through July 30, 2022, with the possibility of extension for up to three (3) years, pending annual renewal. Work will be conducted in areas within the northern third of Minnesota. As such, this position will be eligible for work-from-home, and should expect to travel to events in the region approximately one (1) day every one (1) to two (2) weeks. Because the University of Minnesota is a land-grant institution that serves the state, residing in Minnesota is typically required.

Position Summary:
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a Project Coordinator for primary support of a CDC project to address vaccine hesitancy in rural Minnesota counties. The project will be conducted as part of a Cooperative Agreement and involve coordination with four other institutions around the country and University Extension family educators. The incumbent will work under the direction of Milton Eder and will lead a team of two/three/four Community Outreach Specialists to implement strategies to increase COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations rates. This position will play an integral role in the overall project management and achievement of program outcomes. The individual will be responsible for managing communication with and between the academic team and agency and community partners.

Position Responsibilities:
Project Management and Communication (50%):

• Facilitate communication across a large multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team, comprised of academic, agency and community partners.
• Ensure the overall project schedule and planning align the resources when and where needed to meet milestones.
• Develop and maintain systems to ensure high-quality data collection and high rates of program participation and retention.
• Manage and monitor study budget and needs, including contracts/invoicing.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise staff to ensure project is conducted ethically and participants are treated respectfully.

Technical (5%):

• Enter data into survey management system. 
• Post and promote posts using Facebook to enhance public engagement.
  Maintain IRB filings.

Data Management and Monitoring (20%):

• Oversee and support Community Outreach Specialist and University Extension data collection activities.
• Develop and maintain data collection materials and protocols.
• Implement and enforce protocols to protect confidentiality of Human Subject data.
• Maintain and update the databases and monitor to ensure data integrity and quality.
• Perform quality checks on data and monitor all processes.
• Maintain, and manage all electronic and non-electronic data.

Regulatory Oversight (5%):

• Ensure that all CDC, University, IRB and other pertinent regulations are adhered to.

Project Dissemination (20%):

• Work with faculty and community partners to manage timely completion of project milestones.
• Manage and contribute to scholarly work, including the preparation of manuscripts and presentations.
• Work with program stakeholders to facilitate increased vaccination rates and health literacy. 
• Contribute to and manage ongoing program dissemination activities.
