 Part-Time Lecturer (MGEN Silicon Valley) About the Opportunity The Department of Multidisciplinary Masters Degree programs, College of Engineering, invites applications for the Part-Time Lecturer position for teaching selected graduate courses in the Multidisciplinary Masters Degree programs at the Silicon Valley Campus. Responsibilities include preparation of lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluation of student performance in the course. The Multidisciplinary Masters Degree suite of degree programs in Silicon Valley include: MS in Information Systems focuses on the intersection of cutting-edge technology and business complexity with an emphasis on the art and science of designing intricate software applications especially in the areas of healthcare, security and privacy, auditing and compliance, business improvement and intelligence, as well as financial accountability. Courses include application engineering and development, engineering big-data systems, and engineering secure software systems. The Master of Science in Cyber-Physical Systems prepares our graduates for a world of connected devices. This innovative multidisciplinary program is designed to meet the demand for a new kind of specialist, one who can engineer and develop new interactive services; acquire, fuse, and process the data collected from sensors, actuators, controllers, and other devices; and develop architectures to interconnect these elements as part of larger, more diverse systems. Courses include fundamentals of internet of things, connected devices, data networking, and more. Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant engineering discipline is required; some professional and/or teaching experience preferred. Must have strong, effective verbal skills to communicate well with students.
