Seeking RVT, CVA or 3+ years experience in fast-paced environment.
*You will utilize your in-depth medical knowledge and your highly developed organizational skills to manage and direct the client/patient flow in the practice. * Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will serve as a focal point for communicating with and educating our pet owners regarding healthcare-related issues (by phone and in person). You will provide recommendations to pet owners regarding the optimal care of their pets. * You will oversee and maintain medical records, which incorporates your attention to detail. * Using your in-depth knowledge of veterinary medicine, you will assist our veterinarians in diagnosing and treating pets, monitoring anesthesia, performing lab work, performing oral health procedures and surgeries, and monitoring critically ill pets.
We are an AAHA accredited general care practice located in Monroe, GA. We have a strong interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and routine wellness care. We love dermatology and internal medicine. We have a hard working and fun team who see the importance of offering compassionate and up to date veterinary care and would like to add individuals who share our vision. Many of our existing staff are certified in Fear Free® animal care protocols and we are working toward becoming a Fear Free® certified practice.
This position prefers an RVT degree from an accredited school of veterinary technology and a license to practice in Georgia,
Physical requirements include: sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina, the ability to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects (up to 50lbs), bend/kneel throughout the day, and stand for extended periods of time.
Personal requirements include: must be professional, congenial, accountable, teachable, and punctual. We are seeking a person with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence in animal care.
Hospital hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am to 5pm, Thursday from 7am-7pm and Saturday from 7am-Noon. A full time schedule is 35-40 hours per week.
