Applications accepted online at www.tarleton.edu/jobs The Grant Administrator II, under general supervision, provides support beginning with grant initiation for pre-award administrative paperwork leading through account establishment. Develops sub agreements and reviews budget submissions before final approval. Acts as liaison with compliance committees. Responsibilities: Assist faculty/staff with grant proposal preparation to ensure sponsor compliance. Conduct preliminary review of funding opportunity announcements to determine required programs and contract elements. Coordinates and submits the documents for the proposal in the appropriate sponsor portal and completes all applicable trainings.   Oversee workload allocations, internal review routing, and submission to grant sources to meet application deadlines. Track submission, complete pre- and post-award follow-up tasks, and update office productivity statistics. Communicate research compliance requirements to PIs; collect, maintain, and update records. Serve as liaison between faculty and TAMU Sponsored Research Services to improve level of service to faculty. Conduct preliminary review of funding opportunity announcements to determine required programs and contract elements. Provide expertise and counseling to faculty in the areas of sponsor trends. Assist faculty with grant proposal budget development and cost clarification, communicate frequently with pre-award financial specialist. Assist division with other duties as assigned and based on the needs of the division.  Education and Experience:  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of grants management life cycle (i.e. pre-award and post-award). This position requires the ability to teach and/or work remotely at the discretion of the University.
