This position is an essential part of running a competitive Division I Patriot League Track and Field and Cross Country Team.
The Assistant Coach/Intern will assist with:
● Recruiting qualified prospects to Colgate; evaluating talent on the road, hosting visits, managing recruiting database, etc.
● Completing and maintaining NCAA compliance forms, game travel arrangements, alumni relations, etc.
● Assisting coaches with team travel and logistics.
● Assisting student-athletes with successfully managing academic responsibilities.
● Developing and facilitating training programs to prepare student-athletes to compete in their respective events.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
1-3 years track & field coaching or participation experience (middle distance)
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of collegiate track & field coaching or participation experience (middle distance)
Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Other Information:
A current valid driver's license, in accordance with the University's Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.
