The Vendor Specialist position is primarily responsible for:
Set up and maintenance of the vendor records in the Finance module of Banner (Oracle ERP system) with links to uShop (Jaggaer E-Procurement system) and the Chrome River Travel module and Direct Pay module
Set up vendor direct deposit information in the Finance module of Banner (Oracle ERP system)
Review, verify and maintain W-9, W-8, and W-8BEN tax documents and direct deposit information submitted by vendors
Research and resolve discrepancies related to vendor information
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Strong knowledge of business, financial and general administrative processes in a business setting
2-3 years of Disbursements, Accounts Payable or general ledger experience
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
3-5 years of Disbursements, Accounts Payable or general ledger experience
Experience with Banner Finance or similar ERP or Oracle application
Experience with Jaggaer or another E-procurement system
Experience in higher education or state agency disbursement processes

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment.
