Job Summary:

Responsible for providing and coordinating academic, programmatic, technology, communication, and faculty support to the Stender School of Business and Technology; supporting the School in achieving strategic initiatives and meeting student needs.

• Provide excellent customer service for faculty, current and prospective students, and internal and external agencies
• Organize and oversee day-to-day office functions and supervise student employees in the School as appropriate

• Resolve administrative problems and inquiries; provide information as needed
• Organize/prepare School administrative correspondence and documentation; research, analyze, write reports and summaries
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

• Create job postings and processes and initiate position justifications, descriptions, and postings for new hires
• Support the promotion and tenure process
• Coordinate student employment within the School
• Assist in the adjunct hiring process as appropriate to coordinate adjunct availability and completion of the hiring process tasks
• Prepare, track and review faculty compensation contracts
• Manage the School’s operational budget; coordinate school purchasing; manage purchasing and vendor accounts and review and approve invoices for payment
• Support operations/facility management by coordinating office moves and allocations such as furniture, phone, key requests, etc.

• Maintain and update the School website
• Coordinate budget development for each department
• Coordinate School meetings and minutes, type, track, distribute, and archive documentation as appropriate
• Coordinate and act as the liaison for facilities, meetings, programs, functions, and events, to ensure effective partnerships across campus and with all levels of students

• Establish, analyze, update, and maintain data and information via COGNOS and other programs to meet the needs of the department to assist with student records and issues; to be used in decision-making processes; to facilitate transfer course equivalency reviews with the program coordinators and document equivalency decisions in the Transfer Equivalency System (TES)
• Coordinate domestic and international travel including: Application/registration to conferences, budgeting, assist with obtaining visas, booking flight and hotel, processing payments, and other logistics
• Track and assist students in the prior learning assessment process
• Track internships utilizing the software Handshake
• Work closely with the academic advisor for the MBA Leadership & Change program; upload thesis projects to Proquest; coordinate final assessments in the MBA in Leadership and Change program
• Review the school schedule with each department chair/program director and send changes to the registrar; submit schedule changes as requested by the dept chairs/program directors and follow up to see that changes are made
• Tracks adjunct annual work hours and professional development hours
• Assists with the Sandbulte Center ethics presentations and SEAM conference
• Completes other tasks and duties as assigned
