Requirements Project Manager, Planning and Facilities Management - Georgetown University Job Overview The Project Manager directs small to medium sized projects from design concept stage through construction documents, bidding, and construction administration, to close out and turn over to clients and operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Capital Projects, Planning and Facilities Management, the Project Manager performs management duties under general direction, manages multiple projects concurrently with budget values in the range of $5K to $5M per project, and concurrently manages small scale designs, problem solving analyses and reports. They are responsible for reviews of all projects managed by the office for adequacy of all aspects of complete design; code compliance and GU standards; and coordinate all project design issues with Georgetown clients, as well as appropriate staff counterparts in the other Planning and Facilities Management areas, the Department of Public Safety, the Office of University Information Services, and representatives from Student Affairs and Residential Living. The Project Manager directs multiple project teams; each consisting of from five to twenty team members; and holds consultant and contractor team members accountable for performance of work stipulated by the contract scope of work and schedule.
