Biller / Collector II, Refunds - Billing Services
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
| The Biller/Collector is responsible for timely and appropriate collection of monies from patients and/or insurance payers to ensure financial success for its Cedars-Sinai Medical Center facilities, Foundation and associated Affiliates. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the PB revenue cycle, Commercial and Government payor guidelines, self-pay guidelines, overseeing collections, accounts receivable and self-pay/patient credits. Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Licenses: N/A Experience: * Experience with insurance credits/refunds * Experience in a large revenue cycle billing office * Experience with the Epic system, Outlook, Excel and Word * Extensive knowledge of various types of insurances and specialties * Able to handle more complex, high-dollar accounts * Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding * Able to work independently and be proactive in securing payments, resolving issues and composing an articulate appeal letter * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
