Location: West Hartford, CT Category: Staff Posted On: Mon Apr 18 2022 Job Description: The Associate Director, Academic Support Services will be responsible for leading and providing vision for academic support services for all students. This position will include oversight of the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE), supervision of student workers and tutors, Graduate Assistants, and professional tutors. This position will also include supervision of the Academic Advising staff and will work collaboratively with Program Directors and department chairs to ensure that all academic programs are represented by academic support services. Responsibilities include fostering the development of leadership skills of the peer tutors and ensuring that quality service is provided by the CAE. The Associate Director will engage in strategic planning for academic support services together with the Interim Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, ensuring that the University recognizes and applies best practices for academic support, and uses a data-driven approach to meet student and faculty needs. This position will also be responsible for engaging in the first year experience by teaching a First Year Seminar course and overseeing the Peer Mentor program. The Associate Director may supervise additional staff within academic affairs and will collaborate with units across the Division of Academic Affairs, the Division of Student Affairs, and Enrollment Management to increase student success in all programs, including both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. This is a 12-month position with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. Preference will be given to applications received before May 2nd, 2022. Additional Information: The anticipated salary range for this position will be $60,000 to $66,000 per year. The final offer will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Benefits:
