We seek a VP who will lead Delta College as being a national leader in equitable student success. The Vice President will be committed and experienced in inclusive and equitable student success. Strong on management, but also emotional intelligence, the Vice President will use thoughtful approaches to leadership of staff and administration. The position requires team-orientation, creativity in problem-solving, and high principles. Responsibilities include focus on equity, excellence, and continuous improvement in the areas of enrollment, retention, completion, student support, compliance, and budget. The Vice President will work with the President and President's Cabinet to bring Delta's vision and strategic plan to reality. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the President, the Vice President of Student Empowerment & Success provides strong leadership in planning, developing, administering, coordinating and evaluating the college's enrollment strategy, focusing on recruitment and retention and ensuring equitable student outcomes in these areas. The Vice President aligns student success services programs, services, and policies to drive enrollment/retention and equity goals, both annually and in relation to the strategic plan. The Vice President will provide administrative leadership to the operations of services related to successful student recruitment, retention, completion, transfer and community outreach which encompasses admissions, records, registration, dual enrollment, academic advising, academic counselling, career development, job placement, athletics, student life, multicultural services, and services for students with disabilities. This position is responsible for streamlining the front door experience, and creating a sense of belonging for students outside of the classroom. The Vice President serves as the chief presidential advisor for the development, revision and accurate implementation of student related policies and procedures.
