Location: Skokie, IL Category: Grant Posted On: Tue Feb 1 2022 Job Description: Oakton Community College is seeking a dynamic Online Entrepreneurship Instructor to serve as lead trainer for a special racial equity-based Entrepreneurial Incubator Program. The Entrepreneurial Incubator Program, offered in partnership with the Youth Job Center of Evanston, addresses systemic problems of racial inequity in the Evanston Community through a cohort-based entrepreneurial training and small business development program for BIPOC young people ages 18-25. This position is grant-funded. The selected candidate will be joining an enthusiastic team of other trainers, staff, and community leaders to support the goals of this high-impact initiative. In their role, the candidate will provide training/instruction for a two-phased intensive experience. The first phase will expose participants to the field of Entrepreneurship and the history of Black Entrepreneurship while helping students to define, refine, and assess their business idea. The second phase will help students to develop their business model canvas, establish a business structure, establish a basic brand and marketing strategy, set a business budget, establish pricing, secure their accounting and bookkeeping systems, and more. In addition to providing instruction, the candidate in this role will work with the team to finalize and refine any needed curriculum development and attend occasional check-ins to assess the progress of students
