Summary of Duties: The Sr. IT Auditor is a professional-level auditor position responsible for audits and analysis at Washington State University with an emphasis on information technology. This position plans and conducts risk and control assessments of University information systems, assists in developing the annual audit plan, plans and performs risk-based audits to evaluate the security, integrity, and regulatory compliance of the administrative, academic, and associated information systems of the University, as well as perform audits of system applications and network infrastructure, and communicate results to management. This position provides supervision of IT Audit Intern and IT Auditor 2 and 3 positions, as assigned. The position serves as Project Manager for IT audits within TeamMate. The position will assist the Office in the design and performance of operational and information technology/systems audits and train audit staff on IT issues as appropriate. This position receives minimal supervision from the CAE of the Office of Internal Audit and must use initiative and independent judgment, while following guidance and established practices and procedures. This position is based in Pullman; however, remote/hybrid work may be available. The work schedule is required to primarily overlap normal office hours M-F between 8am - 5pm Pacific Time.
