Vermont Oxford Network (VON) is a nonprofit voluntary collaboration of health care professionals at over 1,400 hospitals and organizations worldwide, working together to ensure that every newborn infant and family achieves their fullest potential. VON member hospitals submit data on their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients and receive benchmarking reports and analysis to identify ways to improve infant care. In addition, VON provides quality improvement and educational programs designed to aid our members in improving their patients’ outcomes. Job Summary and Responsibilities
VON is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our Leadership Team to continue developing relationships with partner organizations and customers. As the movement towards hospital consolidation into health care systems continues to accelerate, VON is looking for a health care professional with proven leadership skills to help establish and develop relationships with health system executives and decision makers, state perinatal quality collaboratives, potential partner organizations and emerging neonatal care networks to advance VON’s mission by growing our community of practice and deepening engagement with our member hospitals. Responsibilities include:
Manage and foster existing and potential member relationships and partnerships with a focus on developing relationships with health care systems, children’s hospital networks and other neonatal care networks
Generate new revenue
Drive, manage and track lead generation and conversion activities using Fonteva Member Nation Salesforce based client relationship management software
Conduct and lead market research and analysis to identify new markets, customer needs, and partnerships
Work closely with Directors of Quality Improvement, Data Science, and Operations to develop leads and respond to customer inquiries and needs
Stay abreast of changes within the health care industry
Represent VON at professional meetings related to maternal and child health
Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans for the organization
Participate as an active member of the VON Leadership Team with other organizational Directors
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work
A health care professional with a bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline; master’s degree in a clinical, healthcare administration, business administration, other relevant field preferred
At least 10 years progressive experience in the health care industry required, NICU experience strongly preferred
At least 5 years in a clinical/administrative hospital leadership role, sales, business development and/or customer relations
Ability to develop relationships and encourage health care leaders to consider and/or continue to use VON’s services
Proven, effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective public speaker with experience speaking to executive level audiences
Successful experience working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
Excellent creative, strategic, analytical and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and to determine priorities across deliverables
Ability to travel
Established proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Prior experience working with a non-profit organization a plus
