The Region Manager has functional and administrative responsibility for the work of the Supervisors, Mechanics/Trades, and administrative support employees within a designated Region of U-M’s Ann Arbor campus. The Region Manager is accountable for the proper maintenance and physical upkeep of buildings, building systems/equipment, record keeping and service documentation as assigned and delegated to the Region’s supervisors. The Region Manager oversees and coaches the Region personnel to achieve goals established by Department leadership. Barriers to completion of maintenance work are escalated to the Region Manager for proper resolution or further escalation to Maintenance senior management. The Region Manager collaborates with O&M Engineering on more complex systems issues and to ensure UM design guidelines are being followed in maintenance activities.

Primary Hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. However, candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule. Also, must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies.
