Summary of Position:
The school seeks an accounting manager who is involved in the community and dedicated to carrying out the mission of the school. This position is a full time, exempt, 12-month staff position.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the accounting manager will oversee the accounting department, with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting and assisting with year-end audit activities.
Job Details: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited for the position to:
Maintain the general ledger, including all asset, liability and capital account entries
Oversee accounts payable and receivables
Coordinate financial aid accounts and tracking
Assist with billing
Enter month end and year-end adjustments
Reconcile financial discrepancies
Assist with audits
Assist with accounting controls by recommending and preparing policies and procedures
Assist with all reporting of financial position
Data entry
Assist Director of Finance & Operations as needed

Required Experience, Degree and Skills:
Must have a bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience. A master’s degree or CPA may substitute for some of the required experience
Positive attitude towards students, staff and faculty
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication (written and verbal)
Exceptional organization, time management and prioritization skills
Must have knowledge of QuickBooks
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Tech savvy. The position will be the administrator for several reporting and billing platforms
