QualificationsPreferred qualifications for this position include some experience in financial or economic analysis. Professional experience in utility cost of service studies, cost-benefit analysis, linear regression/statistical analysis, and knowledge of PJM energy and capacity markets is highly desirable but not required. Without related experience, a minimum requirement for this position is a bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The ability to pay close attention to detail; organize and analyze information to make sound recommendations; and to effectively prepare and present oral testimony in a court proceeding is essential. Applicants must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with the representatives of utility companies, SCC staff, and the general public is required.
