University Advancement is seeking a Data Analyst to join its team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports in Cognos and other University Advancement applications. The ideal candidate is able to measure and show various KPIs to inform decisions and develop visualizations to support University-wide fundraising efforts.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports from Salesforce using Cognos, Tableau, and/or other reporting software
   

• Contribute to the definition and development of the overall reporting roadmap
   

• Translate reporting requirements into reporting models, visualizations, and reports
   

• Create data tables from Salesforce CRM for email marketing campaigns
   

• Work closely with Senior Programmer/DBA to insure integrity of data tables
   

• Flag cases of data inconsistencies so that they may be addressed by the Salesforce team or business owner(s)
   

• Respond to ad hoc report requests from schools and units

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or other technical area
   

• Expert knowledge of Cognos or similar report developer software
   

• 2 - 3 years of experience with SQL coding
   

• 2 years of experience in Tableau or similar tools
   

• Database management skills using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce or other cloud databases
   

• Salesforce experience is a plus
   

• Practical knowledge of the systems development lifecycle and rapid application development encouraged
   

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
   

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
