Position Summary: The Rutgers University Earth and Planetary Science Department seeks a postdoctoral scholar to join the research group of Dr. Lujendra Ojha. The successful candidate will work on problems related to surface-atmosphere interactions on Mars, Venus, and exoplanets. The appointee will carry out research in collaboration with Ojha research group and others, resulting in publications in the open literature. Some examples of potential research topics include but not limited to: (i) modeling winds in the planetary boundary layer and implications for aeolian processes; (ii) constraining the present rate of gas dispersion on Mars; (iii) constraining timescales for formation and dispersion of dunes on Venus; (iv) climate on ancient Venus by accounting for the Faint Young Sun. Minimum Education and Experience: Candidates must have completed a doctoral (Ph.D) level program in Planetary Sciences or a related field.
