Position will provide administrative support to University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) and Office of Service Learning (OSL). Position will report directly to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education and Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, Medical Education, but will work closely and at times directly with many members of the Department of Medical Education. It is essential that the person in this position understands and is comfortable with multiple and varied lines of communication and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide office support for UME and OSL including calendar management, making room reservations, communication to faculty and staff within UME and OSL, accounting and PCard reconciliation, processing reimbursements, running course reports, checking and distributing mail, Clinical Course contact tracking, proctoring exams, organizing catering, submitting office contracts, submitting Event Authorization Forms.
Administrative and day-of support for UME and Service Learning events.
Meeting support and communication including keeping notes, agenda, archiving, communication, follow-up emails, calendars
Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $18.35 - $29.80
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
