![]() Director, Budget and Operations University of California Riverside Job Number: 29845973 Full/Part Time: Full Time Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Salary: $93,400 - $177,200 Position Information The Director, Budget and Operations has primary responsibility for developing and managing annual budget processes that support University Advancement's long-and short-range goals. The incumbent in this position consolidates trend analyses and provides insightful reporting for senior management; ensures timely and accurate analysis/reporting of year-to-date and year-to-year results for all operational areas of University Advancement; manages organizational payroll budget and staffing reporting in collaboration with the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Serves as point person for campus budget/planning office and is responsible for maintaining smooth facilities and financial operations. Position requires excellent customer service across all functions. This position directly supervises the Financial Analyst and Financial Services Analyst. The full salary range for the Director, Budget and Operations is $94,300 - $177,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $130,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, this position is eligible for hybrid accommodations. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Demonstrated skills in the areas of budget process review and analysis, fund accounting, and financial planning as they relate to creation and implementation of personnel and programmatic budgets in a public university environment. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Client services oriented; good listening, critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to plan strategically in a customer oriented environment to promote efficient and effective operations. Comprehensive knowledge of finance and budget policies, practices and systems; budgeting and reporting techniques; fund accounting; human resource planning; accounting and bookkeeping. Additional Information Demonstrated ability to formulate and communicate cost-effective strategies and solutions. Ability to create and maintain productive working relationships that build confidence that the University Advancement budget process is accurate, has integrity, and reflects University Advancement and campus goals and objectives. Proven track record in analyzing, developing, and proposing solutions to budget problems using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques. General understanding of the UC wide budget planning and implementation process. Excellent written and oral communications skills to explain complex financial and budget information in a clear and understandable manner to both internal and external audiences at all levels. Demonstrated knowledge of University policies, procedures, and practices, as well as familiarity with UCR's financial system.
