DepartmentVICE PRES/ACADEMIC SUPPORT (BL-VPAS-IUBLA) Job SummaryThe executive director is responsible for developing and implementing programs to support and accelerate entrepreneurial and commercialization activities at Indiana University. Programing should be created at all stages of the innovation process from ideation to commercialization or licensing including short courses, longer term programs, workshops, lectures, competitions, and social events aimed at bringing individuals together. Programming should target a mix of students, faculty, community partners, including possible investors and seasoned entrepreneurs to create mentoring opportunities and 'collision space' to drive the innovation ecosystem. The primary goal is to increase entrepreneurial activities at IU and to further economic development for the state of Indiana. Department-Specific Responsibilities
