Department OverviewThe OHSU-PSU School of Public Health (SPH) is aligned with the American Public Health Association in declaring racism a public health crisis, and our School is committed to becoming an antiracist SPH. The Infectious Disease Research Group is based out of the OHSU-PSU School of Public, and specializes in evaluations of infectious disease, in individual patients and the population as a whole. The group's experts are national leaders in two rare diseases that predominantly affect the lungs - nontuberculous mycobacterial, or NTM disease, and bronchiectasis. In addition to pulmonary NTM disease and bronchiectasis, the Infectious Disease Research Group specializes in other areas of research including rheumatic diseases and biologic immunosuppressive therapies, post-marketing safety and for vaccinations, pharmacoepidemiology. Function/Duties of PositionThis TI clinical research assistant II position will support study coordination for several clinical trials and infectious disease epidemiological studies focused on the natural history of NTM, HIV, and other infectious diseases. This position will also help with chart abstraction and data entry for several studies, including the NW NTM Biobank and the Bronchiectasis Research Registry.
