Job Duties: This position will serve as a subject matter expert regarding Federal, State, and University policies regarding student employment. The position will apply these policies to determine the appropriate course of action for the posting of student positions, the recruitment and selection process (to include determining eligibility based upon current academic standing) and the Federal Form I9. The position will independently determine the most appropriate action within procedural and operational guidelines as it relates to student employment with minimal oversight. Work requires knowledge of student employment program policies, procedures and information systems in order to communicate accurate and timely information to students and departments. The range of duties includes, but is not limited to, verifying student data, records management, and approval of supporting documentation based upon assignment to specific colleges and departments. Additionally, the position will assist with a compliance review of policies, procedures, and I-9 accuracy and retention. This position will be reviewing and approving student EPAF's, and student hiring proposals and I-9s. This role will be reviewing, approving and validating undergraduate assistantships. This position will share responsibility for outreach and marketing of student employment services to include serving as co-chair of the Student Employee of the Year Celebration, creating newsletters, training and associated educational resources such as PowerPoints, and maintaining the student employment office bulletin boards. This position will ensure that all appropriate standards, policies, and procedures are followed and provide the central repository for all student-related forms and other paperwork. This position will also provide excellent customer service by meeting with departments and hiring officials to serve as a resource for feedback and consultation regarding the Student Employment (SEO) process. Meet with students and student groups to promote student employment to increase the number of applicants for vacant positions.
