Database Administrator in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University; collaborates on the full technical lifecycle from architecture to support of data environment, specifically focused on MS SQL; responsible for the establishment, implementation, support and administration of SQL Server Instances/Databases; works with the application development team to extensively analyze, develop, maintain and document complex relational database structures to ensure successful implementation as well as optimal performance; develops and maintains Database Disaster Recovery Procedures; architects, implements and monitors Database Maintenance Plans; ensures standardized administration practices are implemented; provides thorough functional and technical evaluation of database related products, as well as database and service pack upgrades; provides technical assistance for all production database related issues or difficulties; provides database clustering/high availability support; responsible for database technical support for development teams; plans, administers, and coordinates core Microsoft reporting technologies including SQL Server 2019, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), leads business owners through functional reporting analysis/needs and correlating those needs to technical requirements and subsequent implementation.
