Qualifications for Sonographer

  • 2+ years imaging experience in an accredited hospital environment and/or equal relevant experience in a private facility 
  • Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that includes a clinical skills assessment process from an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Certified ARMDS
  • Proficiency with computer software commonly used for documentation and sonographic report presentation
  • Experience working independently
  • Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges in relation to the regular use of an ultrasound machine
  • Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information
  • A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to patients
  • Demonstrated competency in all aspects of general sonography

 

Applicants must hold full registration and be in good standing with the licensing body in one of the following countries:

  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • Jamaica
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • South Africa
