Position Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Creates all static and dynamic promotional and recruiting content for and manages all IIHA communications platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Medium blog, e-newsletters, and multiple websites
• Serves and works with the IIHA's alumni database of 3,000+ alumni around the world by spearheading and developing the IIHA's growing LinkedIn account and alumni newsletter spotlights
• Strategizes and proposes opportunities to grow the IIHA's visibility among humanitarian organizations providing professional education for their staff
• Develops and leads a robust marketing and communications campaigns for podcasts, webinars, seminars, and conferences
• Liaises with IIHA research fellows to maintain and form partnerships, compose grant applications, plan events, promote research, and grow the research initiatives
• Updates and maintains the IIHA's multiple websites and platforms, including but not limited to the IIHA Fordham website
• Oversees the creation of print promotional materials, such as annual reports, flyers, promotional packets, and other materials for the Institute
• Markets and promotes all undergraduate and graduate programs, in cooperation with the IIHA's humanitarian partners, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS), and other University partners
• Recruits and manages a team of student interns and graduate assistants each semester, developing a vibrant student summer internship program
• Leads the planning, promotion, and execution of IIHA co-curricular events that foster discourse on relevant issues in humanitarian response. Events may include both virtual and in-person, panel discussions, full-day Summits, lecture series, film screenings, and book launches
• Performs other related duties as needed and assigned in connection with emerging IIHA priorities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on communications, social media, and/or visual arts
• Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe, Quark, Wordpress, TerminalFour, and other relevant design and website technologies
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel as needed
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on concurrent projects
• Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
• Interest and knowledge of current political events and the major players in the humanitarian aid field

Minimum Salary: $50,000

Maximum Salary: $50,000
