The role of the Budget Analyst is in supporting students and the USD Community responsibilities of the position are significantly tethered in the university's contemporary Roman Catholic mission and commitment to creating an equitable, welcoming community for all. The Business Analyst will perform data analyses and assist in interpretation of results using a variety of techniques to support business practices. The role will work closely with the Business Director of Student Affairs and Auxiliary Services to obtain and identify analytical requirements. Additionally, provide recommendations and conclusions gained from analyzing data using statistical methods and tools. The role will also research best practices, develop benchmarks, and provide dashboard metrics in a wide range of business vertical (Dining Services & hospitality Services, Housing, Bookstore, Healthcare, Recreation etc. but not limited to) to management. The Business Analyst will develop a variety of reporting tools for distribution and ensure data accuracy. The role will provide input into decisions affecting business operations and strategic initiative. May lead staff or student workers, as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
