Position Summary

The Nurse Research assists in coordinating and conducting clinical trials and surveillance projects related to bleeding and clotting disorders. Serve as a primary resource person for research protocols while working to assist in maintaining high standards of research subject safety and regulatory compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Nursing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. May require a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and/or work experience in a particular area of nursing or health care. ICH-GCP certification or willingness to obtain within 1 month of hire is required, as are good communication skills, attention to detail, experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, access to reliable transportation. 

Desired Qualifications

Experience with research protocols, IRB requirements, working knowledge and experience of specialized databases, electronic data capture (EDC) systems; experience with shipping of biological materials; clinical research certification.
