Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Scheduler evaluates work requirements and assigns resources efficiently and effectively. This position works closely with trades workers, shop leadership, and the campus community. This is a fast-paced job coordinating hundreds of work orders and over twenty trades staff. This position participates in developing standard operating procedures and process improvements.

The Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of UW-Madison in support of the university's education, research, and outreach activities. We are responsible for everything from the building projects that change the face of campus to the flowers that beautify the grounds.

• 60% Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
• 10% Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
• 10% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
• 10% Establishes, monitors, coordinates, and controls project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting
• 10% Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)

Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of project administration or scheduling experience
- Computer knowledge with previous Microsoft Office Suite usage

Preferred qualifications:
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn scheduling software
- Understanding of facility management or trades activities
- Previous experience or knowledge in cost estimation or providing information about costs
- Strong experience developing reports and other communication
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent customer service skills

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
