The Parent and Family Program, a unit within the Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement, is seeking two positions to support outreach efforts that engage, inform, and connect with parents and families of UW undergraduate students.

Through personalized and thoughtful customer service, tailored and dynamic events, and strategic, timely communications, the Parent and Family Program serves thousands of parents and family members each year.

These roles will work collaboratively, but each will have a specific focus. One position will coordinate outreach efforts through events, and the other through communications. Both roles will report to the Director of the Parent and Family Program and will work together towards a shared goal of supporting student well-being and success through family engagement.

• 10% Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
• 15% Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program
• 15% Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
• 25% Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
• 10% Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
• 5% May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending
• 20% Answers questions by phone, email and social media

• Support the lifecycle of events and outreach programs for new students and family members of UW-Madison students.
• Work in partnership with University Marketing and Student Affairs communications to develop content, including program material, publications, and newsletter content.
• Support the project management of large-scale events, including Family Weekend.
• Develop outreach initiatives to parents and families of students.
• Answer stakeholder questions through phone, email, and social media.
• Support the parent/family/guest program during Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR).

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience supporting event or program development
- Demonstrated commitment to contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail, prioritizing tasks and working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff
- Problem-solving skills and independence in decision making

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading large-scale events or complex projects
- Previous experience managing communications
- Previous experience working effectively with stakeholder groups
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a student-focused approach

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely at an offsite, non-campus work location upon supervisor and department/Student Affairs division approval.

Minimum $52,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The expected minimum starting salary for this position is $52,000 annually. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
