Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for selecting and purchasing goods and services utilizing system contracting sources (GPO). Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. Working with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the department and make purchases decisions based on demand. Analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices and validate daily with GHX. Able to sources out alternatives to back orders and update all users of any stock outs. Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve weekly issues via Image now, Infor/Lawons reporting, and emails. Manage and update all service agreements and standing purchase orders. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in a medical purchasing department and/or related area. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director of Materials Management ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen A Works in a well lighted, heated and air conditioned office. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sits for long periods of time inputting data on the automated Material Management system using sound ergonomic principles. Moves carts and lifts boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
