Essential Qualifications:

• BA or BS in science or education and a minimum of 2 years experience working with K-12 youth in a formal, informal or museum educational setting OR equivalent experience totaling six years.
• Familiarity with relevant technology, particularly virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet.
• Creative, enthusiastic and thrives working in a team setting.
• Ability to be flexible, dependable, adaptable, and have a sense of humor in a high stress, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners and an ability to interact with a variety of cultural and socioeconomic groups

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of best practices in informal science education and inquiry-based learning.
• Formal education or experience in science and STEM curriculum delivery and program implementation, with demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching.
• Experience working with culturally, socioeconomically, and age-diverse populations.

Working Hours & Conditions:

• Must submit availability as requested and be available for shifts once scheduled.
• Hours are flexible with a minimum of zero weekly and a maximum of 25 hours weekly and will vary month to month. Will discuss desired hours & preferred weekly schedule with applicants.
• Virtual programs are delivered in a small onsite studio at the Bell Museum via Google Meet or Zoom. Must be comfortable working within small, enclosed spaces.
• Occasional weekend hours, non routine and scheduled in advance.
• Occasional overnight travel throughout Minnesota for program delivery is desired with covered mileage/transportation, per diem, and hotel accommodations.
