The Office of General Accounting is seeking an Accountant II to provide support with the preparation of the University's annual audited financial statements, the University's quarterly unaudited financial statements, and the School of Medicine's monthly financial statements. In addition, the department operates as a service function to the divisions and other central functions as it relates to journal entry processing, survey preparation and other reporting needs. The Accountant II is responsible for working with the divisions and central functions to compile, analyze and report financial information daily, as well as perform transactions to ensure the University is in compliance with GAAP accounting standards. In addition, the Accountant II assists with schedules prepared for the University's audited financial statements and interacts with the external auditors. Specific Duties & Responsibilities

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
