This position supports the uAchieve degree audit system, including ongoing maintenance, encoding new degree audits, performing audit updates, resolving student and advisor questions, and providing uAchieve system access to end users. The position also performs several compliance functions within the Office of the Registrar including: Grade/collection processes (University policy 2030.1.2) and student degree and graduation data submissions to the NSLDS via the National Student Clearinghouse. Additionally, the position works to refine business processes with an emphasis on integrating technology to streamline processes and reduce manual entry, coordinates with other offices to ensure data integrity, document procedures, and support the efficient use of University resources. Essential Functions and percent of time:: 40% Supports the uAchieve degree audit system. Encodes, maintains, and updates audits, requirements, and conversion articulation and repeat tables as required by changes to programs, courses, general education, degrees, and transfer articulation to keep the system current. Also, encodes and maintains audits serving special university needs, e.g., NCAA eligibility, academic honors, etc. Tests all changes and updates to ensure the accuracy of the encoding. Troubleshoots, researches, and resolves issues from campus users (staff, faculty, and students) related to uAchieve. Maintains user access, security roles, users groups for multiple academic systems. 25% Conducts end of term grading processes and communications. Provides functional assistance and technical expertise to Faculty and Departments throughout the grading process. Collaborates with Faculty and academic units to resolve ambiguous data and exceptions to policies. Uses independent and professional judgment to critically analyze issues and resolve inquiries regarding grading, academic policies, and precedents. Assures continuous quality management of data. Filters and scrubs data by scrutinizing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Manages system grade roll process including applying appropriate administrative grades following established policies and procedures. Monitors performance of daily processing during open grading period. 20% Compliance Reporting: Assists in NSC degree reporting and corrections with NSLDS and/or Financial Aid. Reconciles output records; performs technical administrative functions including auditing/correcting student records and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Assists in the certification of academic eligibility of University athletes for NCAA competition. Assists in the evaluation of student curriculum and degree requirements. 15% Provides systems support for Banner SIS, TES transfer evaluation system, uAchieve degree audit, student planner, grade change workflow, document management systems, etc. Assists in the development of processes and procedures to improve services and ensure security and accuracy. Supports online graduation application processes. Coordinates communications to students regarding procedures and timelines as related to graduation processes. Develops and implements strategy and timelines for task operations, implementations, and process improvements. Maintains data integrity of university student data in multiple systems for daily operations, strategic analyses, and state reporting and compliance. Maximizes software functionality for efficiency and data integrity. Assists with the implementation of upgrades to the SIS and other related systems, which includes performing testing, data conversion, migration and cleanup. Participates in the analysis and identification of current and future information needs, leveraging technology and best practices. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions:: Office Hours are 8:30 – 5:00, Monday through Friday. Available to work outside of standard business hours, as needed during busy times or for special events. Registrar's Office staff are expected to participate in Commencement Ceremonies twice a year and occasional recruitment events. Flexible work hours and/or hybrid work options (with a minimum of 60% (3 days a week) on campus) are negotiable after the training period is completed.
