• Requires the equivalence of a technical institute or associate degree in a related field
• At least four (4) years of full-time relevant work experience in the assembly, maintenance, repair, wiring, construction, and operation of electronic and electrical equipment
• Must be familiar with printed circuit board assembly, wiring and construction techniques. Surface mount technology would be helpful.
• Must have excellent soldering skills
• Must be able to operate vans and pickup vehicles
• High degree of proficiency in the use of hand tools and electronic test instruments
• The ability to work from drawings, schematics and verbal instructions
• Experience in the use of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and spectrum analyzers

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic experience with computers and software such as Excel, Word, Auto Cad and plc programing languages.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of high power, power supplies, preferred

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to work from ladders at 6 feet
  

Other Information:

• Must be available for emergency call in 24/7 and possible shift work if needed as operational and department demands
• Appointment level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Must have a valid driver's license
• This is a fully onsite position located at BNL
