Job Description:

The Director of Softball Operations will work under the direction of the Head Coach and will coordinate the daily operations and administrative functions for the Division I women's softball program with a commitment to adhering to university, Conference and NCAA policies. Responsibilities may include:

• Coordinate facility needs, practice calendar, competition schedules and contracts;
• Assist with coordination of recruitment process, official visits, and assessment of documentation;
• Coordinate pre-game event management and game-day team operations;
• Work with Travel Agency to coordinate team travel and logistics;
• Assist with coordination of coach travel;
• Oversee the admissions process and housing for incoming student-athletes;
• Assist with monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes;
• Arrange and supervise student managers;
• Assist in managing unit budget;
• Perform video editing and tagging;
• Operation of sport technology, recording and analysis of the data;
• Handle all administrative and business functions for the program;
• Serve as sport liaison with other units.

Contribute to an environment conducive to the welfare and academic success of the student-athletes. Establish and maintain effective interactions with the students, colleagues, university community, alumni, media and the public. This position requires exceptional organizational, decision making, problem solving and communication skills and a solid understanding of softball. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends and occasional travel with the team.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Solid knowledge of the sport of softball or baseball.

Directly related experience in athletics administration or administrative support, coaching, or sports operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with collegiate athletics softball operational processes.

Experience with game management for softball/baseball.

Experience managing large group logistics.

Experience with video editing and tagging for softball/baseball.

Experience using softball/baseball technology software and analyzing the data for player development.
