The HIV Neurobehavioral Research Program (HNRP) – Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research (CMCR) is housed within the Department of Psychiatry and serves as the umbrella organization that provides broad scientific and programmatic leadership for multi-disciplinary research programs related to the neurologic, neurocognitive, and psychiatric impact of HIV/AIDS. As part of its leadership role, the HNRP stimulates and helps coordinate interdisciplinary collaborative research at the local, regional, national, and international levels, and also serves as a resource for consultation, training and career development for investigators working in HIV/AIDS and mental health. Under direct supervision of the HNRP-CMCR Business Officer, incumbent will work as a Fund Manager responsible for fiscal management and administration of sponsored project research awards at the HIV Neurobehavioral Research Program (HNRP) – Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research (CMCR) in the Department of Psychiatry. Duties include, but are not limited to, comprehensive pre- and post-award administration of federal, state and private agency contracts and grants, and consortium agreements. The incumbent will work as a HNRP-CMCR Research Administrator for the HNRP-CMCR Business Office providing financial analysis, fiscal management and administration of a full range of extramural grants, contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements totaling approximately $8 million annually funds. The incumbent will provide projections for short and long term fiscal planning. Identify and analyze problem areas, find and evaluate alternate solutions to resolve variances, and make recommendations in accordance with department, University, and agency guidelines. Work directly with internal and external investigators, staff and agency officials. Independently analyze financial statements from external sites to identify trends and variances. Revise existing procedures to meet changing needs. Advise investigators when regularly reviewing fund status, providing expenditure and fiscal recommendations and providing policy clarification.
