The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH)-School of Education is seeking an Assistant Director to manage data collection, program assessment, field support, and student requirements central to our teacher licensure programs and accreditation. This position will support our University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities, and our School's mission to prepare competent and caring educators.

The Assistant Director Academic must be collaborative and have strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills. 

This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule in accordance with UC policies.

Essential Functions

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate with licensure programs, learning design, and Watermark to manage migration from TK20 (a data collection and reporting tool used for licensure program assessment and accreditation) to Student Learning & Licensure (SLL).
• Build field binders, course-based assessments, and licensure assessments in SLL.
• Maintain SLL, including course-based assessments, field placement data, and field forms required by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
• Run assessment data reports to meet the reporting needs and timelines of licensure programs.
• Support faculty to learn and use licensure software for program assessment and improvement.
• Manage mentor payments, including running reports of mentor activity and creating invoices. 
• Train field supervisors on the use of field technology.
• Manage training for field supervisors and maintain a supervisor community in Canvas, our Learning Management System.
• Distribute and collect ODHE survey and ODE modules from teacher candidates annually.
• Schedule and support regular meetings, such as annual or bi-annual field partnership meetings and data retreats, in support of our licensure programs.
• Support adjunct supervisor hiring process and maintain lists of active supervisors and potential supervisors for meeting program needs.
• Support practicum coordination for Early Childhood Online program.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

Three (3) years experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High competence in Microsoft Excel and other Office products and ability to learn new technologies/systems quickly.
• Experience working in PreK-12 teaching or administration or in a related field. 
• Familiarity with accreditation processes in higher education.
