Job Description:At Regions, the Business Unit Operational and Business Risk Manager ensures that line of business operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and per the organization's policy. This position serves as a connection between the first line, second line, and enterprise support units to ensure the effective execution of the Operational Risk Framework across the specified business line group. Skills and Competencies
· Directs mortgage product reviews and provides oversight of mortgage business unit and processes · Works closely with mortgage executives to understand and advise on key risks associated with each function within the business · Advises leadership on key business and/or product decisions · Provides requested information to regulatory agencies and advises management on potential and ongoing compliance issues · Maintains expert level knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on mortgage products, services and operations for a specific line of business · Oversees the resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes · Monitors the overall mortgage business for key risks and escalates issues · May supervise day-to-day work of other professional level mortgage product associates · May contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and risk and control identification · Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years experience in mortgage , preferably experience in entire mortgage business · Undergraduate degree in Business or related field, preferably Masters degree · Certification in Mortgage (CMB, AMP) Position Type Full timeBenefits Information Regions offers a benefits package that is flexible, comprehensive and recognizes that "one size does not fit all" for benefits-eligible associates.
