Summary

Provides potential and existing clients with company financing needs and services through prudent lending practices by adhering to Bank lending policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Meets with applicants/clients to discuss/advise on lending needs; may provide information on deposit products, treasury management products or other available services based on client needs.
• Originates loan requests and submits documents using loan origination software.
• Evaluates and analyzes applicant/client financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of loan request.
• Initiate and complete the loan closing on approved loans.
• Responsible for business development: calling on existing and potential customers.
• Manage and monitor any problem loans while keeping senior management informed.
• Manage credit exceptions: maintain delinquencies at a reasonable level.
• Prepare commercial loan requests for approval and present to Loan Committee if applicable.
• Participate in the analysis and underwriting of commercial loans.
• Participate in the preparation of legal documents with legal counsel.
• Participate in the preparation of loan documents with personal bankers.
• Responsible for management of existing loan portfolio
• Manage all assigned deposit accounts and review overdrafts daily in accordance with policy.
• Contact title companies, insurance agents, and accountants when necessary
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Skills

• College degree in finance, business or related field
• Minimum 6 years related lending experience or combination of experience and education.
• Proven ability to follow standard policies and procedures in lending practices; make appropriate decisions regarding client request.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, organize work, and set priorities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications

• Standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

Supervisory Responsibility

• May direct work of Credit Analyst
• May direct work of Personnel Banker

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Office setting
• May require travel to branch locations or client locations.
• May require attendance at events after normal business hours.
