The University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) supports researchers to help them produce results better and faster, to ultimately improve the health of communities and populations. CTSI develops and disseminates approaches to advance translational research, through workforce education and training, fostering multidisciplinary teams, improving quality and efficiency, and engaging community and national stakeholders in research. CTSI is in search of its next Clinical Research Finance Coordinator. The Finance Coordinator will work closely with investigators and other stakeholders to consult on creating budgets and negotiating with sponsors. This position will also assist with the collection and management of clinical research revenue and expenses. This will be achieved through: Budget Development: Preparing budgets, interpreting trends and future projections; prepares reports for submissions to agencies regarding the status of sponsored projects. Develops cost and time analysis for studies in conjunction with investigators, department heads, and other stakeholders, and acquires all necessary approvals. Budget Negotiation and Analysis: Responding to queries about budgets, finalizing details with related departments. Prepares reports with recommendations; reviews reports of studies completed by staff and prepares commentary related to budgets or financials. Invoicing and Reconciliation: Supports the study with invoicing the sponsor, reconciliation of payments received, and assuring proper application of this data into Workday Finance. Provides periodic reports and analysis to clearly present the results of billing operations and the status of receivables. Facilitating Charge Review: Monitors that study-related transactions in the patient billing system are reviewed in a timely manner and facilitates that transactions noted as payable by a study account are communicated to Patient Financial Services for posting and journal entry purposes.
