Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions:

• Embrace and promote the mission of Delta College and lead the Department in accordance with those standards.
• Oversee the continued development and implementation of the Athletic Department's mission statement and values to foster transformation of the whole person and achieve sustained athletic, academic, and fiscal success.
• Promote a favorable image of the institution at all times. Represent the program and Delta College with integrity, respect, sportsmanship, and professionalism in the community and at sponsored events/contests.
• Assist with on-campus recruiting and represents athletic program at functions as necessary.
• Assist with development of student-athlete orientation.

• Coordinate compliance for student-athlete eligibility along with completing documentation for NJCAA reporting.
• Works closely with Director of Athletics to ensure all assigned tasks are in compliance with Delta College, MCCAA, NJCAA rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with coaches to maintain current player rosters, making sure they maintain eligibility compliance throughout the season.

• Works closely with Library and Teaching and Learning Center to assist in coordination of study hall, tutoring, and other activities to ensure that academic needs are met.
• Review reports of academic progress to support continuing eligibility of student-athletes in consultation with Director of Athletics to inform coaches of their student-athlete progress.
• Oversee all aspects of the student-athlete study hall program, referring student-athletes to appropriate resources when necessary.

• Assists the Director of Athletics in scheduling of competition with appropriate timelines.
• Coordinate team travel, including scheduling of practice for post-season play, transportation, meal and hotel arrangements.
• Complete and submit purchase requisitions for Delta College Athletics.
• Provide budget, eligibility and retention reports to Director of Athletics based on timeline provided.

• Coordination of game day operations; to include event staffing and management.
• Communicates with visiting teams to ensure facilities are available when needs arise.
• Coordinate all home game officials through Arbiter Sports, working closely with sport assigners.

• Assist with maintenance of department website and input required information on Delta Athletics website.
• Work in collaboration with marketing team to develop recruitment material such as brochures and inform marketing offices of accurate news and information.
• Assist with development of special events, i.e. Special Olympics and Possible Dream Athletic.
• Assist with department fundraising initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
• 1-3 years of position related experience
• Valid Driver's License/ with no restrictions in driving students and good driving record
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Outstanding interpersonal, relationship building, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work on deadline and maintain accountability with others in collaborative projects, and work well under minimal supervision.
• Proficient in computer usage such as Microsoft Office, Excel, social networking sites, website management, and other digital communications.
• Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently.

Additional Experiences Considered:

• Three to seven years of relevant work experience, particularly in service excellence and office support
• Community college experience
