Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Business Services, the Coordinator for Business Services and Operations provides essential support to various aspects of the School of Education's functions. This role encompasses responsibilities in budget and fiscal management, human resources, contracts, student aid, facilities, and technology. The incumbent collaborates with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the School of Education.

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Manage, update, and process memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and contracts with school districts and other partners, serving as the primary contact for these agreements.
• Provide comprehensive support for the SOE purchasing process, including p-card transactions, requisitions, and invoice processing.
• Manage the allocation of student employment funds to different programs, departments, and centers.
• Analyze and evaluate student aid, grants, and awards disbursement, making recommendations based on established criteria.
• Provide support and data analysis and reporting as requested for the Associate Dean for Business Services, Director of Finance, and Director of Administration.
• Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for SOE staff, including inclusion in SOE-wide communication channels and databases/statistical reporting.
• Serve as a trainer and resource for staff across the SOE, disseminating and ensuring understanding of LMU policies, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate technology requests and replacements.
• Provide back-up support to issuance and analysis of large volume of part-time faculty contracts.
• Oversee SOE staff in support of office moves and related action items.
• Represent LMU within the education community and participate in committees as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

Requisite Qualifications

• Typically a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a commitment to ongoing skill development to stay abreast of regulatory and policy changes.
• A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in business processes, accounting, and contractual agreements. Experience in a higher education setting highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication, evident in the preparation of reports, analyses, and contracts.
• Strong technological aptitude, including expertise and high level of competency with Microsoft Excel, and all Office programs. Ease of use and learning in web based databases and reporting systems.
• Strength in analytical thinking and a clear understanding of database reporting.
• Effective problem-solving, decision-making, multitasking, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
• Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments related to School of Education activities.

Hourly pay is budgeted for $20/hour, based on prior experience and skills, not expected to exceed $28/hour.
