![]() Operations Manager University of California Riverside Job Number: 30808051 Full/Part Time: Full Time Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Salary: $71,100 - $128,700 Position Information As part of Student Affairs, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of service and operational management of the Career Center. Support various administrative functions, including processing requests for supplies, services and equipment using various on-line systems. For such work, the position requires a great deal of flexibility, attention to detail, problem solving and a high degree of self-management. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as communicate effectively at all levels. This position is responsible for daily general administrative and financial (transactional) and office management duties, including, but not limited to the day-to-day operations of the front desk area and entire facility; supervising 6-8 student assistants; coordinating purchases and work orders for the department; supporting staff with Concur submissions for pre-travel approvals, travel and expense reimbursements; maintaining equipment inventory; supervising high volume schedule of appointments, speaker requests, and meeting room reservations; supporting workshop/event logistics; and providing administrative support to the Director and Management Team. The salary range for the Career Services Manager is $71,100.00 - $128,700.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $71,100.00 to $85,500.00 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Experience Experience Requirement Previous career services related experience Preferred Experience using Handshake career services management system. Preferred Previous student assistant recruiting, training, and supervising experience. Preferred 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Minimum Requirements Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong skills in short term planning, analysis and problem-solving and customer service. Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and/or personnel management. Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Knowledge of a variety of administrative operations activities such as events planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines. Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
