Carnegie Mellon University's department of Housing Services is searching for a Coordinator of Operations to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by assisting with all daily functions of the Housing Operations team.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Primary back-up for all front desk operations, including answering phones, distribution of keys, and general office coverage, and primary back-up for the assignment teams. Assists with access requests including both hard keys and electronic keys via the CBORD/CSGOLD access system. Assists with responding to emails from both the Housing and Room Assignments email accounts.

• Oversees the Desk Services program, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and co-supervising of all Desk Services Assistants.

• Oversees the task-lists and timelines associated with all major housing timeline events, including fall opening, fall closing, winter break housing, spring opening, spring closing, and summer housing, including coordination of information, and represents Housing Services at all prospective student Admissions events. Assists with the First-Year move-in/access letters for August move-in, in coordination with the Assignments team.

• Oversees all aspects of the summer housing program, including room assignments, summer billing, coordination of facilities, medical accommodations, website and portal information, all administrative and programmatic expectations, and on-call responsibilities. Coordinates with

• Conference and Events Services, and co-supervises summer student staff.

• Other duties as assigned

• The ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities based on departmental missions and goals, possess strong written and oral communication skills, have a demonstrated ability of working with technology and database systems, must work collaboratively with students and other campus members, have an overall understanding of services provided by a university housing operation, and contribute to the departmental processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience

• A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Additional Information:

• Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00pm. An alternate work schedule allowing for evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion.
