Department Name: H3997:EVPHA Information Technology Job Summary: The EHR Oncology/Research Pharmacist Team Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Oncology and Research team's scope of responsibility within the Electronic Health Record for the University of Kentucky HealthCare enterprise. The Team Manager will perform and be responsible for system development life cycle (SDLC) for the oncology and research applications. The Oncology Team Manager will leverage the system design to enhance oncology and research workflows and procedures within the EHR. This Team Manager will ensure the EHR meets the oncology and research department's needs to interact operationally with other areas of the organization such as scheduling, lab, radiology, inpatient, billing, research, medical records and other interdisciplinary areas. The Team Manager will be accountable for managing the team's progress to planned projects and assignments. The Team Manager will work with leadership, project managers and team to develop and maintain specific work plans and task lists, as well as monitor progress of relevant workflow analysis, design, and configuration schedules. This role will execute a quality management plan tailored to the specific area of responsibility. This role will act as the primary contact and coordinator for the specific area of expertise regarding questions and issues. The Team Manager will lead weekly team meetings, manage analysts, and conduct performance evaluations. The Manager will document team status, issues, and risks. This position requires knowledge of vendors as well as confidentiality and privacy guidelines. Team Managers must remain aware of and follow all federal and state regulations as well as UKHC policies. The Team Manager will collaborate with the business, IT leadership, and other teams to ensure the design, build, and maintenance is successful and meets the needs of the business. Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: BS Pharm Required Related Experience: 6 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification : Licensed Pharmacist plus Epic Certification required within 90 days of hire Preferred Education/Experience: PharmD with background in health care or Information Technology preferred.
