Position Summary:

• Processes customer payment activities, including receiving customer payments and electronic remittance advice, perform cash handling activities, and apply payments to sponsored projects as well as create check requests.
• Resolves issues with accounts receivable balances, thoroughly investigating any account discrepancies by obtaining information from departments and sponsors.
• Prepares account receivable aging reports, monitors and analyzes accounts receivable balances, including creating reports that track payments and revenue received from customers.
• Manages collections from sponsors by evaluating payment plans, payment history and, if need be, contacting a sponsor collections department to receive payment.
• Assists with audits on an as needed basis.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education/experience that demonstrates understanding of GAAP.
• Two years of advanced Excel experience including pivot tables and V-look up.
