![]() Community Engagement Specialist About the Opportunity This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. JOB SUMMARY The Community Engagement Specialist serves as a coordinator on report back activities and research for the participants of the ECHO and PROTECT cohorts as well as the clinics that serve them and the communities they live in the Northern part of Puerto Rico. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Master's degree in Public Health or related field. Requires Knowledge of research platforms like REDCap, Nvivo, Derby among others. Must have knowledge and experience with qualitative research methods. Experience working with community base organizations as well as federally qualified health centers required. Must have the ability to perform community engagement activities in various areas of the northern part of Puerto Rico. Able to lead and participate in manuscript writing for publication in lay, peer reviewed journals and presentations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 1) Planning and implementing community engagement (participants, residents of karst areas, Community Health Centers, municipalities, and other stakeholders) activities. 2) Work with data software, collection, and analysis of Report Backs. Analyze documents and records for report back activities Write progress reports, manuscripts, abstracts related to CEC Develop research proposals. 3) Participate in the design and implementation of research activities. 4) Support in the creation of materials for all audiences cover by projects. 5) Develop manuscripts for publication and presentations for congresses, conferences, and communities.
